Do you have a thousand doubts about how to prepare the children's summer camps because it's the first time they go away? Don't panic 🙂 Today we'll give you some tips on how to pack a backpack with everything you need to make the camp quick and easy.
By the way... first of all we recommend that you overcome your fears, nervousness and uncertainty for their wellbeing in this first camping adventure. It is part of their learning process, growth and self-affirmation. So put on your best smile and think about the positive aspects of this new experience.
And now, let's pack our bags for the summer camp. Is it a well-conditioned site with cabins that have all the services included? Is it a campsite with tents in the middle of the mountain? The characteristics of the site - and the number of days, of course - determine whether the backpack will be more or less full 🙂
Clothing and footwear for children's summer camps
Even if it is in the summer and it is hot, in areas where there are a lot of trees it is normal for it to get quite cool at night and early in the morning. So if you'll be sleeping outdoors, include a thermal blanket and also...
- Underwear: Please add two additional changes of underwear to the established camp days in advance.
- Thermal and breathable clothing: Include one piece per day of long and short-sleeved T-shirts, shorts and sweatshirts. Don't forget your pyjamas.
- Protective clothing: A hat to protect you from the sun, a windbreaker, 2 pairs of hiking trousers, if they have a zip and turn into shorts, so much the better!
- For the shower and the pool: 2 or 3 swimming costumes, a shower towel, a pool towel and a hand towel.
- Footwear: Flip-flops, hard-soled boots and trainers.
- Laundry bag
The best clothing is clothing that can be layered to protect you from the sun and cold. It should be comfortable, hard-wearing and not detract from your mobility so that you can enjoy the outdoor activities.
Personal care utensils
Includes toiletries in small format (max. 100ml): toothpaste and toothbrush, sunscreen, a comb, hair shampoo and shower gel.
Also, to prevent lice and mosquito bites - something that can happen during summer camps - put in your child's backpack:
- Mosquito repellent spray. You can use it for yourself and your colleagues.
- Mosquito repellent bracelet. It is comfortable and will always be on your wrist protecting you. Add an extra one to your backpack just in case.
- NosaProtect Triple Action Tea Tree Spray. Our spray makes it easier for them to comb their hair and also keeps lice away naturally. By the way, we also have it in a mini format and this packaging is ideal for travelling 🙂

Inform and inform yourself in case of food allergies.
If the child has any food allergies, do not hesitate to inform teachers and/or monitors. It is also advisable to find out if the camp has medical staff and what their protocol is for emergencies.
If you need to bring your own food, ask the school about the plans. Campfires? Barbecues? How will you cook and what is advisable?
Finally, the child should also carry your health card. In addition, their backpack or suitcase must be clearly marked with their personal details, including parents' contact telephone numbers.
Important: don't forget to attach a webcam to his backpack and keep an eye on everything he does at the summer camp - just kidding! 😉
Educate, communicate with love, prepare and trust. Summer camps for children are necessary experiences that will make you more independent and alert.
And if you feel like it... come back and tell us about your experience 🙂
