In a few days we welcome 2020 and that means new goals, for you and for the little ones. We have a proposal for you, how about writing your 2020 resolutions together?

The kids are getting more and more advanced and we think it's a great idea that they can choose some of the goals for the year to come.

Here are some ideas 😉

LEARN SOMETHING NEW

Children are constantly learning and are like sponges, so this is the best time for them to learn something new, whether it's a language, an instrument, sport or illustration. This will help them develop their mental agility and love of learning, which is not always a chore. Talk to your child and ask them what they would like to do and... get on the list!

MOVE

As adults we tend to lead a more sedentary life and take the lift instead of the stairs... and the little ones take a cue from us. We know that time is money, but if we get them used to walking and being more active outside the home from an early age, it will help them both physically and emotionally in the future. The children will arrive home more relaxed and tired, and with less stress, which you will also be grateful for. If you don't have much time on a daily basis, you can make weekend plans, even if it's just a couple of excursions a month, they'll love going to the mountains and discovering new places as well as learning to respect the environment.

AUTONOMY

Depending on the child's character, some children like to do things themselves, while others prefer to do everything themselves. It is a good idea to teach them to be more autonomous, to be in charge of small tasks such as picking up their room, organising their homework, setting the table, bathing, and comb your hair... At first they probably won't like it, but if we positively reinforce their attitude every time they do it, they will feel more self-confident and will want more responsibility. Just take it one step at a time 😉.

SOLIDARITY

There are many children who unfortunately do not live in the conditions they deserve and lack food, education, toys... It is a good time to make your child aware of poverty and to collaborate with a campaign to collect food, clothes, cuddly toys, books... in this way they will learn to share and develop respect and empathy for others.

What do you think? You can extend the list of resolutions for 2020, but remember, it is better to have short goals that they can achieve little by little and encourage them to go for a new one. Make sure that in each resolution they learn the values that will help them in the future, such as generosity, respect and sharing.
